Leeds United have granted midfielder Sebastien Carole permission to begin a trial period with French club Le Havre.

The 25-year-old has struggled to hold a regular first-team place since moving to Elland Road from Brighton in 2006.

The Frenchman made 17 League appearances for Leeds and played twice in both the League and FA Cups, scoring three goals.

Carole started his career at Monaco in 2001 before going on loan at West Ham and then moving to Chateauroux.
