Terrible, just terrible...

Apparently someones gonna do another strike again.

They did that before when prices got to like 85p or something.

Didn't really work very well, did it?

Where I currently work we are not allowed to use public transport.  It is a massive chemical plant with no public transport.  Once you are through the gate there is a 10 minute drive to the car park, you're not allowed to walk it as you are too far away from a 'toxic refuge' in case of emergency.

And I noticed work don't pay petrol expenses like they used to, nowadays, the expenses you get are whatever the train fare is.

The prices are outrageous, the same as lecky and gas prices. Up and up they go I've just gone from a diesel car to a petrol one, and boy can I see the difference! A tenners worth of petrol gets me about quarter of a tank now! and it soon goes down to empty, and I'm a careful driver. I never boot it or brake sharply, as they say this burns off more fuel. I actually went into town the other Sunday on a bus, did some shopping. Stood at the bus stop waiting for the 1pm bus, along with 10 other people and they'd cut it out! I was livid, the next one was due an hour later grrr so ended up walking home with shopping.

My job relies on people using their cars and I am now worried that if petrol prices go up much more, all my volunteer drivers will decided that they cant carry on taking people to and from hospital appointments.  We pay them 40 pence per mile but if we pay them anymore than that, they will be taxed.

So I could lose this job.
