it's remarks like that , that make all this worthwhile , it is a struggle cos we are only just starting out , and we are competing with the world cup and summer events , but that is what this forum is all about , and me tinks if we continue it will be a big success.

I agree Dood - I think you've set just the right tone for it right from the start. This is supposed to be fun, and it is.
Part of that I think is that people here now are already fairly comfortable with each other, having already met (in cybespace, anyway), so there's less worry about making a complete tit of yourself. As the forum grows (and I've no doubt it will), there may be a need for more strict moderating etc. if only because people don't follow what this is all about. Part of the problem with MOT, I think , at the moment is that it's grown quite a lot over the last year and so the feeling of intimacy engendered (what a good word that is ) by being part of a small close-knit community is fading and the differences in opinion are becoming stronger. There's also the fact - and I've noticed this with other forums - that sometimes the original people have a tendency to kind of look down on the later entrants. I don't see that happening here, but I think it's something to watch out for.
Sorry if I've gone on a bit, but I think this has the potential to be one of the best.

If we still had the best post section , me tinks this post would be the first one on it , you are spot on with everything you say , we may need to moderate it later , but I hope we never have a them and us senerio on here, we wont i'm sure , at risk of sounding like a stuck record, this forum is for ALL of us and is run by ALL of us , anyone , well if you are known to us , can be part of the admin or mod side of things , stamp your own mark on the place so to speak , but above all have FUN.

I agree, with yourself, Pat and Gopher at the helm I think as I said - you've set the tone right.
I would offer to help, but I doubt with all my other commitments (I did tell you about the almost 5 grandchildren didn't I? ) I could give it the time that you and the forum deserve. I've spent more time here this weekend because Mrs. Mort is away, but I won't normally have quite as much time to spare.
At least for now, I'll just have to take advantage of all your good natures and enjoy this place as much as I can.
And by the way, I wasn't trying for post of the day/week/year or anything - I just thought I'd tell you how I felt.

MOT's taken a battering lately, not cos of growth, or bad modding, but blatant double standards by certain people. Something that certain people cannot, or refuse to acknowledge...

It is sad ive spoke to two MOT members this week , both lovely peeps , both were on MOT from the start , both big posters and now they have turned their backs on the place because of what has being said.
Another newbie too has left , and will be joining me next season on another forum.
for what its worth , i take no plesure from seeing MOT in such a mess , I still have a lot of mates on there , and for them I hope things turn around and soon.
Twiggs i know you look at our posts , so please take note , these peeps are not just members of your forum , they are you mates too.
