RECYCLING

how many of us actually recycle our trash.........

i only seem to recycle paper products.....but how far do you go to do your bit for the environment ???????
chimp

i am very keen on recycling - do everything you can except tin cans - also have a compost bin

our council (wakefield) are about to supply us with 3 bins and a box for a)householde waste b)paper c)garden waste and d) bottles, plastics and tins

will save my regular trips to the tip - ok if you have room for all the bins which fortunately i have
will_lufc

yes im up on recycling think its great but only if we all do our bit
Jolufc

We have three bins down here, a green one for normal household rubbish, a blue box for cans, plastic bottles etc and a brown bin for green waste. We also have a bag for putting out newspapers and magazines.

The company I work for recycles more glass than anyone else in the world, so I'm doing more than my fair share - Thus giving me the right to not bother at home, and throw the rings off sixpacks in the sea.

Yeh we do recycle.. tins, bottles, papers... As we are good folk, we wash our cans out thoroughly, cause if we dont, the bin man knocks the door and tells you too !! FFS...

We have posters of that on the walls in the customer areas at work.

As for recycling and washing stuff, and arsing about... **** that, can't be arsed. I'd rather contribute to global warming and help England get hotter.

I agree... when the bin man knocked my door and told me I hadnt washed a can properly... i thought f**k you... nobjockey!!! and I must admit, for the next few days, I just threw them straight in the normal bin ....
LynnT

they are making it easier now to recyle most things...newspapers, bottles, plastic bags......i think it is a good idea too.....most of these things in land fill sites take decades to decompose!!!

We recycle papaer just because we've got a blue bin for it.  They also gave us a red box to recycle loads of other stuff but I refuse to do it, wasn't so long ago BBC went undercover and found that a lot of stuff was just thrown into landfill anyway.
