Newcastle have parted company with manager Sam Allardyce less than eight months after he replaced Glenn Roeder.
The 53-year-old, who carried out his pre-match press conference for Saturday's Barclays Premier League trip to Manchester United this afternoon, this evening left St James' Park by mutual consent.
