Babyshambles, Nottingham ArenaBack from Nottingham where I went to see Babyshambles on their now ended arena tour and it was ******* ace. Say what you like about Pete, but that bloke knows how to get a crowd singing... It was probably the best gig I've attended since The Libertines. I got hit in the eye by a rubber bottle of Stella, everyone left battered and brusied and completely soaked, I've completely lost my voice, ruined a £65 Lambretta top and really couldn't give a ****. It was immense!
Pete now sober again was totally professional, and played every song perfectly... The crowd were ace, and I can't wait til Babyshambles next tour. You've never lived til you've seen these live, they're ******* class!

About time Leeds got an arena, don't you think?
Anyway, booked for Babyshambles again in Manchester in February on the NME tour. Was supposed to be going to see the Holloways, Dirty Pretty Things and The Pogues next friday but DPT went and pulled out, so I cancelled.

we do, having to resort to going to places like Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield is ridiculous, expecially when you think that all three of those cities is smaller than Leeds

Yeah, it's a sad state of affairs. Leeds is a massive, booming city, with great bars, clubs, a massive university and no arena. It's bizarre.
