NichollsPRESTON NORTH END are poised to bid for Leeds United midfielder Kevin Nicholls.
The Deepdale club look set to make a close-season approach for United's former captain, who will leave Elland Road this summer after losing the armband in acrimonious circumstances in March.
Kevin NichollsNicholls was demoted by Dennis Wise following his request for a loan move to Luton, the club who sold him to Leeds for around £700,000 less than 12 months ago.
The 28-year-old has refused to comment on the reasons surrounding his transfer request, but he was dropped from Wise's first team squad ahead of United's 3-2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on March 3 and was omitted from their final 11 league fixtures.
Nicholls signed a four-year deal at Elland Road last year and Wise will look to recoup the substantial fee spent on him by Kevin Blackwell.

Get rid of him, the more we get the better but the sooner we get rid the better, looks like we need some sort of compromise. Go to Preston nicholls then after a while tell them you want to come back to Leeds. tw@.
