my projectstarted my project today... gonna put laminate flooring in the main floor of my house. taking out the old carpet today. doing it all by myself lol. it's really fun taking things out. hope it's as fun putting the new floor in

thanks for the encouragement and advice... gee i thinked i must have picked the hottest day of the year to start this. it musta been 30 degrees today. gonna go have a shower then a nice ice cold bevvy.

It'll look great Chrissy, and deffo get some cushions for your knees!! My hubbies knees were bright red for threee days after laying ours bless him lol.

went and bought the laminate yesterday, got a very nice cherry maple. looks really good. had to buy 40 boxes plus the underlay so needed 3 trips to and from the store (which is called the king of floors and in their advertisement they have this little dog called sir scruffy, so i just call it the sir scruffy store lol, but they have tons of stuff to choose from) anyway, made 2 trips yesterday and gonna make the last one today. now i have to wait 2 days for it to acclimatize to the room temperature. can't wait to put it down. lol i actually had a dream about doing it last night

I would love to have laminate flooring, but cos my cancer is in my bones and could fracture easily if I was to fall, we have to have carpets, so its a no no.
Sometimes life is just not fair

Auntie Lynn give me some advice how to mearure the size of ya steps allway and landing

ok........
1). steps. Measure across. then measure treads and risers and times by number of steps. Then times the steps figure by the across figure.
(for example : 0.75m x 26m = 19.5 sq mtrs)
2). hallway. Measure width and length then times the width by the length.
3). Same for the landing ^.
Is that what you meant
