Morris increases bid

Absolute disgrace, Bates has won fair and square then this con man increases his bid. Bates has the vote wrapped up but Morris will drag this out as long as he can. In a month or two we could all despise Morris, if he doesn't get his way which he won't he'll keep fighting and cause as much harm as possible.

He's not a Leeds fan, neither is Bates but at least he doesn't claim to be. A leeds fan would be desperate for on the pitch success, he hasn't brought that up. A Leeds fan would want Leeds to move on whether it means he gets hurt in the progress by losing out. He can piss off, Leeds fan my arse.
Woody

I agree Joe , the longer this madness goes on the higher the risk of failure next season , dare I say me might face yet another relegation batter
Pretty Shambolic

Depends which way you look at it. If it goes to court, we'll remain in admin for months, and won't be able to sell any players, so the likes of Healy and Cresswell will have to stay.
Joe1

There is no way the players will be able cope with admin hanging over them. I was sure the administrators could sell assets and they would include the likes of Healy and Cresswell. I thought we just couldn't bring in players.
Woody

We cant buty players for sure , as for selling them I dont know I would have thought so though as that will be seen as one way of raising so much needed cash for the club and its creditors.

Nope... Not at the minute. They always try for a buyout first, and the assets are whats for sale...

Admin shouldn't bother the players - Its the managers job to make sure they concentrate on the football
Joe1

Like your optimism but I can't see us coming out of this in good shape. I was beginning to think we could push for promotion but if this doesn't get sorted out quickly I am really worried we'll do something similar in League 1 as we did in the Championship.
Pretty Shambolic

We should be ok. But you never know til the games start.

Im glad theyre putting pressure on the creditors and threatening to take Bates to court. Its an absolute scam, and should be addressed
Woody

I dont think we will achieve anything more than a mid table finish next season , unless somebody does take the club over and gets rid of wise and invests in the playing squad.

I dont see how anyone can make a prediction before we know what the playing squad will be
Joe1

Once again Milky, we have different views.

Bates put money into the club and done all he could to succeed with Leeds. Things didn't go to plan so a very crafty move was put into place. It only made sense to go into admin if he was sure he would come out the other side with the club. Otherwise there was no reason to volunteer to go into admin, it wouldn't have mattered to him when we took the 10 point deduction. If I owned something but it had flaws due to others mistakes, I wouldn't leave it in to get fixed if I didn't thing I would get it back.

Bates is a tit that will destroy Leeds United more than Ridsdale ever did. His arrogance and threats to put Leeds into liquidation provbed just how much of a wanker he is.... Yes it was Forward Sports that made the liquidation statement, but we all know Bates is behind them!
Woody

A mid table finish will be a good result IMO , cos this has MK dons written all over it , as things stand.
Joe1

What's the liquidation statement from Forward Sports? Haven't seen it.

Although I do know about Bates saying to Adam Pope in an iterview that if he didn't get Leeds, there might not be a club to support. I believe this was simply scare tactics to persuade a few of the smaller creditors to vote for him. He is arrogant but most football club owners seem to be. Bates has been the only one to come up with the cash and invest in the club and the team, we spent much more than most other CCC clubs on tranfers in the past few seasons if I am not mistaken. He has tried and unfortunately it didn't work out so Plan B was put into action.
Pretty Shambolic

Hate Bates and the sooner he's gone the better.

Forward Sports said something along the lines of 'We've directed KMPG to let all other creditors know we will use our 45% stake to veto any bid except Bates' and will see the club into liquidation before backing anyone else.'
Joe1

Ah, ok. Doesn't make Bates look too good, but it's either going to be his way or no-ones. They could have been exagerrating, but even if not, surely it's better to just have Bates in charge, he'll be desperate for success to keep some pride, then if it's not working out after 6 months he can sell up to someone who can take us forward and isn't simply intent on making money and nothing else. I realise everyone will be after money, but we want people who want Leeds to do well as well.

Bates will never care about Leeds like he did Chelski and thats why he'll never ve successful
Joe1

I know he doesn't care about the club, but then have a think why is he still in the football business. I doubt it's all about money for him, he doesn't exactly need it, he's got enough and he's not what you'd call young. I believe he's still in football because he wants success, he wants to get some pride back. He has brought us down a division and I'm sure he will do all he can to get us back up. He mightn't be the right man for the job, but he's better than Morris who'll do more harm than good.

He has said he has 6 possible investors lined up...
Pretty Shambolic

I'll believe it when i see it... He's used the investors line one too many times now
