maccaLeeds United manager Gary McAllister is keen to secure a place in the League One play-offs without the aid of the club's appeal against a points deduction.
The Elland Road outfit were hit with a 15-point fine at the start of the season as they were adjudged to have broken Football League rules on clubs in administration.
However, Leeds appealed against the penalty and an independent tribunal will make a judgement on the case next week and, if successful, Leeds could overhaul League One table-toppers Swansea.
The Swans will not be awarded their League One trophy at the end of Saturday's home meeting with Leyton Orient as the outcome of Leeds' appeal is yet to be decided, but McAllister insists his club's priority should be to concentrate on securing a play-off position.
"I would not read anything into the fact that Swansea won't be given the trophy until after the decision," McAllister told Sky Sports News.
"I have just got to say that I have always budgeted for zero (points awarded back), so we will just crack on and hopefully we can get into the play-offs without needing any points back.
"It is very bizarre, the decision and how long it has taken to get it all sorted. With that in mind I think it is still going to be strange if we get 15 points back."
