Life after life?Do you believe in life after life?
Have you had experience of ghosts/spirits etc?

I dont believe in the afterlife, once you are dead you are dead, you have no brain cos the brain is dead and its the brain that controlls your movements. Also you have no body left so you cant walk or talk. I believe its like being asleep but you dont dream or like before you were born - its just black, nothing.
I have never had any experience of ghosts or spirits - I just dont believe in them.

that's an interesting thought jo, is the brain really "dead" or does it go into some other form? how would any of us know? it's just a huge mystery. i would like to think there is some sort of afterlife. and whose to say if this life we are living now isn't the afterlife to our previous life?

True, I only hope in that case my previous life was better than this life.
If there is an afterlife, what happens at the end of that, do we die and go into another afterlife and then die at the end of that one and go into another one.
You ask if the brain is really dead, well when you are cremated the brain is burnt or if you are buried then dont the worms eat it

Colin Fry (if you get the chance watch his program) says:
'We are not humans on a spiritual journey, we are spirits on a human journey'

On another forum I speak regularly with a medium.
I had a dream (which apparently is one way we get contacted by spirits) and in the dream I was told to do a certain thing.
On msn I mentioned I had a dream, and he already knew all about it! Weird to say the least.
Personally I am undecided about the existence of an afterlife, I have a very scientific mind. I know that in 1929, Hoover wanted to close the US Patent office, as he believed that everything that could be invented, already had been....so I know there is a lot about science and the nature of the universe that we simply don't know, so therefore I am prepared to accept that some things that we today consider 'magic' or 'paranormal' could indeed have some truth to it.
Wherever these mediums get their information from, either by trickery or by real 'communication' it is certainly accurate (mostly).
I have seen mainly two mediums on television. one of them is the US guy Edwards who I personally think is a total fake....he asks for 'is there a 'P' connected to you?' 'No?' 'erm, how about an 'S'?'
Then there is the sixth sense with Colin Fry, 'Was your Grandmother called 'Cecelia'?' 'Yes' 'She was very good on the piano wasn't she?' 'She was'. He is so accurate he is either the best trickster the world has ever seen, with hundreds of stooges, none of whom have fessed up, or he is the real deal....I think he could be the real deal. Tony Stockwell seems to be marvellous too.
Still, everybody has their own opinion on each subject like this, and I value them all, sceptical or otherwise

I like to think theres something after life. Although your brain dies, your body rots , I believe people have souls or spirits, and I think this goes on beyond this world.
I think there are genuine mediums, but sadly there are too many fakes. Maybe some of them have more of a telepathic ability rather than a connection to the afterlife, who knows.
My mum once went to see an old lady who lived locally. All the older people called her a witch. She was so accurate in what she foresaw, the things she told my mum would happen, happened within the next few months, things you'd never have dreamt of. She was so accurate she was scary. No wonder all the elders called her a witch, I think they were so scared how right her predictions and things were!!

I still believe though that its your brain that makes your souls and spirits.
I asked my gran once what was a spirit and she replied its what makes you you - in other words it makes you the person you are, what makes you laugh, cry, your moods, the type of person you are. Its the brain which controls whether you laugh or cry, your mood, what things you like etc and once that is no longer working your spirit dies too.

interesting read folks
I am a sceptic.....I watch all the "ghosthunter" type programmes and Colin Fry. As yet I am not convinced ....but if you listen to some of the electrical voice phenomina (EVP) on some of the programmes....it is a little bit too spooky for my liking.

to the goblin it was not "whether there is or isn't an afterlife" so much as "if ones actions in this life effect that afterlife", the proviso being that one has an afterlife, "...simply, if one is doing good through fear or reward hereafter one is belittling ones action, and one is blind to ones own true nature..." said the goblin adding "...better not to think that there is an afterlife then so that ones actions become the reward in itself..."

"...I wrote a typo, and have edited my last post..." said the goblin in that that last line now reads how it should: better not to think that there is an afterlife then so that ones actions become the reward in itself

the goblin didn't know about a life after death but he knew that those he loved who had "gone on" so to speak probably hadn't gone very far he still felt, "...and if you are looking over me still and reading this now, know that I love and miss you..."
