Derby County have swooped for Leeds United's experienced American international, Eddie Lewis.

They have agreed an undisclosed fee for the 33-year-old left-sided midfielder, who is out of contract next summer.

If Lewis signs, he will link up again with Billy Davies, the two having worked together at Preston North End.

Hope he does very well, the guy has been a star for us, really shone through the bunch, but once again he will have been forced out, he is one of the higher earners and the chance to get a fee for him will have been taken quickly.

No doubt he'll be saying how great the Leeds fans were and how much he loves Leeds in a day or two, as did Cresswell and Blake.

However on a lighter note, it paves the way for this Harley bloke from Burnley and also gives Parker the chance to break into the team and I believe he is a solid left back.

Eddie will be missed, but not much.

Well it's been confirmed,he is having his medical at Derby.

i must say thanks to eddie he has always given his all to this club evan when we was in the pitts last season pluss he also played left back without moaning

IMO he has been our most consistent player.Sorry he is going,but no one can deny him the chance of the Prem .
