Heavier Than Heaven

A must read for any Nirvana or music fan.

Its the biography of Kurt Cobain and tells his amazing rise from a RedNeck deprived upbringing, including the times he was abandoned and technically homeless - To his rise to the front one of the worlds biggest ever bands.

Includes the stories of his love for Courtney Love, the struggles he faced when confronted with fame, his drug abuse and eventual suicide.

The story of Kurt Cobain as fascinated people so much, he's now the highest EVER earning dead musician - Topping even Elvis

Er - what's TECHNICALLY homeless?

Guy with some talent, got popular and rich, used drugs, died.

OMG

mort read the book it will give you an insight to kurts life from begining to end

then you might find its more than you think and guess

obviously there will be some stuff not in the book like secret things he didnt tell anyone and stuff but it will give a pretty good insight to a great musicians life

Thanks and it's not that I don't appreciate what you're saying, just that I feel whatever start in life he had, he (and many, many others) was just another spoilt brat before the end. Too much money, too much time, too many people giving you whatever you want - From Elvis, through Sid Vicious to Kurt Cobain, it's obviously not a recipe for total happiness!

Thats where you're completely wrong. He couldnt handle the fame and although owned a massive mansion - Lived in one room.

Technically homeless - Had no address!

Crashed at mates houses, squats, family etc...
Guest

Again, not that I don't see your point, but there are so many people in the world so much worse off without even the chance to make it better, that I refuse to waste sympathy on those who can (should they choose) make it better for themselves. Not being able to handle the fame didn't stop him wanting it or make him take steps to stop being famous.

Not, but it did cause him to commit suicide,

Anyway... Like him or loathe him - The books still worth reading

Fair point.

And it's not that I like him OR loathe him, I just can't bring myself to care!

Kurt Cobain is a legend.

His lyrics are biographical, whilst twisted to cover the emotion and protect his family and interpreted in millions of different ways - and lets face it, few play guitar as good as Kurt did!

Kurt Cobain is so much of a god to me and my family that my Grandson is named after him
