Christ...........Pictures of a teenage prank that went horribly wrong have appeared on a website, prompting a police investigation into the stunt.
The video shows a youngster spinning a playground roundabout with a motorcycle wheel as he revs the bike.
The speed of the playground ride, thought to be about 20mph, throws two teenage girls from the roundabout into the air.
The Jackass-style stunt which was filmed in Crawley, West Sussex, is being featured on a US-based website.
A 49-second version of the video - which has been viewed more than 4,800 times - was still being run today under the headline Tilgate Chicks Flung Off Spinny Spin.
A spokesman for Crawley Borough Council described the stunt as "phenomenally dangerous" and said it could have ended in a fatality.
He said: "It is a bit like Jackass, but this is a lot more dangerous because it involves children rather than people old enough to know better."
"We have checked local hospitals and we have been assured that no emergency admissions have been made relating to this."
He said that the council had emailed the website in an effort to get the footage removed.
Inspector Mark Piper, of Crawley Police, said: "This is an extremely dangerous practice and for the safety and welfare of all concerned we are urgently trying to contact and speak to the participants."
