In reference to their statement issued today,that anyone caught throwing celery at matches will be liable to prosecution

Celery would regularly be thrown from the Shed End at the beginning of matches during the 80's with the chanting of the song - and once Chelsea got in to some Finals '97 onwards - the celery throwing became a traditional event at the beginning of the match. On Sunday there was just loads left over to launch at Fabregas at the corner flag!
