Leeds goalkeeper Casper Ankergren said he has a big part to play in Leeds United's new brand of football.
Under new manager Gary McAllister Leeds are attempting to play passing football rather than the more direct style of previous boss Dennis Wise.

As a result, McAllister has told the Dane to start playing from the back.

"We've changed it a bit. He wants me to throw it to the full backs as much as possible and play from there," Ankergren said.

Although the side is yet to win any of their three matches under the former Scotland international, Ankergren believes McAllister's methods will be successful.

"I think its a good thing. The centre-backs also have to learn how to join in the game as we build up and not just hit the ball long.

"So the centre-backs need to join in not just when we're defending but when we are attacking too. They need to be in possession and confident with the ball."
