Back to topic:
There have been so many top performances from so many actors that to pick out a best is impossible, but the best performance for me was Dustin Hoffman in Rainman.
This could of course change tomorrow, when I've had less (or more) beer!

both good actors , but could they adapt like the first three , look at tom hanks , he went from forrest Gump to the philli story , if that makes sense.
