Eirik Bakke intends to return to Elland Road and rejoin Kevin Blackwell's squad for training.

The Norwegian international has been told he is no longer wanted by Leeds as they cannot afford his wages, but he is struggling to find a new club with the transfer deadline fast approaching.

Under the terms of a deal brokered with former Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale in 2002, Bakke earns a reported £23,000 a week and, due to a clause in his contract, costs the West Yorkshire club an additional £4,000 for every match he plays.

But after a short trip home to Norway, Bakke said: "I'm flying back to England and I'll train with the other (Leeds) players on Friday.

But unwanted , and Mort or Glenn i stand correct he does earn 23k per week to 40k
