Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck wants the Football Association to act quickly in deciding whether to punish Ken Bates over alleged racial discrimination.

Leeds chairman Bates is waiting to see if he faces any action after his former club lodged a formal complaint with the FA over words used to describe the Premiership champions' current board.

Buck admitted he expected a quicker response from Soho Square officials, who acted in a swifter fashion to charge manager Jose Mourinho after comments following the 2005 Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester United.

"We believe the comments were inappropriate, insulting, rude and had racial and religious overtones, and because of that we filed a complaint with the FA because we believe those comments violate the rules of the FA E3 and E4," Buck said on Sky Sports News.

"Two seasons ago Jose Mourinho made some pretty innocent comments about "cheat cheat", the FA acted the very next day. We hope the FA would act promptly here and, candidly, we are little bit surprised they haven't acted in this two-week period since the press conference."

The Barclays Premiership champions also accused Bates of waging a personal campaign against the club he sold to Roman Abramovich three years ago.

The comments were made when Bates accused Chelsea of trying to poach three of his club's Academy players.

did he say sumat norty or are chelsea on a revenge mission , me i think he did , our ken has got a bit of a mouth on him, fair play to him.

Apparently he called them "siberian shysters" or something similar

Basically, Chelsea are using it to try and muddy the waters a bit over our claim against them (which should be getting decided any time now)
