my daughter was at the bus stop over road when it happened lucky she was ok

Thank goodness for that Jeff.

Five people are being treated in hospital following a gas explosion at a disused pub in Leeds.

Emergency services were called to the derelict Florence Nightingale in Beckett Street, close to St James University Hospital.

The injuries of the five are not believed to be life-threatening.

More than 35 firefighters are at the scene and inquiries are continuing, a police spokeswoman said.

Several road closures are in place and police are advising people to stay away from the area and to find alternative routes for their journeys.
