ENGLAND candidate Alan Curbishley today emerged as red hot favourite to succeed axed Leeds United boss Kevin Blackwell.

Bookmaking giant Ladbrokes, whose client list includes many influential and well-informed individuals within football, were forced into an early revision of their opening betting call immediately in the wake of Blackwell's sacking late yesterday.
Curbishley replaced Dennis Wise as the favourite to become the next Leeds manager within half an hour of the book being opened.

The man is a legend. What someone in football should be like. Conducts himself properly, although i got bored 2/3's of the way through his book...
