Charlie's Angels star has cancer

US TV icon Farrah Fawcett has confirmed that she is undergoing treatment for intestinal cancer.
The American actress, who is best known for her starring role in Charlie's Angels in which she played one of a trio of sassy female crime fighters, has been undergoing radiation treatment as she prepares for surgery and chemotherapy.
In a statement the 59-year-old said: "Please respect my privacy at this challenging time."
Fawcett appeared in public just five weeks ago at an awards ceremony with her co-stars from the hit TV show.
But there was no hint then that she was suffering from a malignant tumour in her intestine.
The discovery of her illness has since brought her closer to her former partner Ryan O'Neill, who has also had treatment for cancer.
Hope she wins her very difficult fight.
