Doncaster, Swansea and Carlisle may act if Leeds get any points back after today's tribunal hearing into the points deduction.

Doncaster chief executive Dave Morris said: "We must wait, pending the decision of the appeal. We've not made any decision about what we would do until the tribunal's decision has been made public.

"Everything is so much up in the air, we would have to consider what our position is as soon as the tribunal result is known. If Leeds are given all 15 points back we would have to look at the situation, as all the other clubs who have a chance of promotion will do.

"We would review our position then and at this stage are not sure what our options will be. Leeds agreed not to appeal against the 15-point deduction, but have gone ahead and done it."

Meanwhile, Swansea boss Roberto Martinez said: "I think they may get some points back, but it would be unfair from a football point of view if their position in the table suddenly changed and, if I'm honest, I can't see that happening.

"Leeds are in a play-off position and I think they should stay in a play-off position. If anything else happens you won't have heard the last of it because teams like Tranmere, Southend, Nottingham Forest, Doncaster, Carlisle and ourselves will all be affected.

"Everyone will take their own route and it would be a massive war. They got punished for going into administration, then they bent the rules and tried to be a bit clever.

"When you bend the rules, you have to take your punishment. I think they probably will get some points back, but if the decision changes their league position this will be like another Bosman ruling. It would be a unique moment in football history and I don't think that would be the end of it."

Finally, Carlisle boss John Ward admitted: "I think Leeds will get something back. The goalposts will have been changed with three games to go which would be strange. Rules are made at the beginning of the season and should be adhered to."

If we get them back, their challenges will be pointless, you can't argue with an independant arbitration.
